| Kuala Lumpur airport (KUL) Transfer Between Terminals: A courtesy Aerotrain operates between the contact pier and the satellite (journey time: approximately 2.5 minutes) every 3-5 minutes. Iinformation and Help Desks: There is an information and tourist information counter in Arrivals in the satellite in front of the Aerotrain station. There is also a help desk in the contact pier near one of the escalators leading to the immigration hall. A Visitors Service Centre providing information on airport services and facilities as well as tourist information is located in the baggage reclaim hall. There is also a Travellers Services Centre on the Arrivals concourse providing meet and greet facilities and travel arrangements (tel: (0)3 8776 4571; fax: (0)3 8787 4196). In addition, there is an information counter between check-in rows E and F on the Departures level of the main terminal building. Info kiosks or touch-screen information systems are located throughout the airport. Airport Facilities: Money and communications: There is a bank on the ground floor of Block C in the short-term car park, near the bus station. Bureaux de change and ATMs are available on the Departures and Arrivals levels in the main terminal building, in the satellite and in the Arrivals hall. A post office can be found on the Departures level in the main terminal (open Mon-Sat 0830-1700). Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, snack bars, fast food outlets and cafés which cater for all tastes. Shopping: There are many shops, including duty free (mostly in the satellite, but with a good variety also on level 5 in Departures and level 3 in Arrivals). Luggage: Left luggage services are located on the public concourse on Departures and Arrivals levels. Coin-operated lockers are also available in the satellite. Other facilities: Nursery/baby changing facilities are located throughout the airport. 24-hour clinics are available on the Arrivals concourse and there is an emergency sick bay in the satellite. Pharmacies are available in the main terminal building and in the satellite. Smoking lounges are available near gate C1 in the satellite and gate B1 on the domestic level. Most airlines have lounges for use by their passengers; these are available on the mezzanine level in the satellite. Disabled Facilities: Facilities for disabled travellers include ramps, lifts, wheelchair-accessible toilets and adapted telephones; passengers should advise their airline of their needs in advance, to arrange personal assistance. Disabled car parking spaces are available on level 2 in the covered short-term car park, close to the link bridges, which connect to the terminal. Conference and Business Facilities: The Plaza Buiness Centre
(tel: (0)3 8787 2323; fax: (0)3 8787 2727) is located on the mezzanine
floor in the satellite and is equipped with fax machines and Internet
facilities, as well as postal and secretarial services. There are also
business centres at the KLIA Pan Pacific Hotel (tel: (0)3 8787 3333;
fax: (0)3 8787 5555) with facilities including fax, Internet, workstation
rental and secretarial services. |
